Hi all, I’m using Ory cloud. If there is a new Kratos version, will Ory cloud auto upgrade it for me? Or I need to perform manually? If so, could you provide me any documents, apis?

Hey, Ory Network is a managed by us environment, meaning we are taking care of upgrades in this case. Ory Network identity service is based on Open Source Kratos. We are making sure to have it up to date 🙂

Got it. And if Ory bump a major or minor version, my SDK will be required to upgrade too. But I don’t know the exact time Ory upgrade my cloud services. I faced a similar problem ( Ory refactor admin apis to prefix

/admin

). Ory upgrade a minor version without a backward compatibility. Our services need the high availability so how I can reduce/prevent the similar issues?

sorry for the delay. We are fully appreciative of the fact that integrations must be stable and reliable! We will avoid breaking changes in the future - only with our platform's general availability we needed to change API versioning. Should there be upcoming breaking changes still necessary going forward, we'll provide advance notice well ahead of time!

Thanks @fast-lunch-54279. Ory cloud is a part of our platform. I suggest a temporary solution: Ory should displays an alert in console.ory.sh and release SDKs before upgrades production version. So that, we have the time to upgrade packages. Thank you so much.
