Is there a migration path between a self-hosted Hydra instance and Ory Cloud (either direction)?

@high-optician-2097 Great to hear! Will this offer apply either way (into/out of Ory Cloud)? 🙂 Some background. We had a self-hosted Hydra instance while in PoC and dev phase (there was no Hydra in Ory Cloud back when we started). We are now ready to onboard production clients and thinking of switching to Ory Cloud for Hydra. We need to be sure that this is not a one-way street and that we will be able to take out data out (if there is a need for that at some point) and load it back into a self-hosted instance.

Right now the configuration system is already self-service compatible. What we have not figured out is how to move data around because that has a serious security connotation (need to be sure only the correct data is exported, and the correct data is imported) and that’s not trivial to solve. If you want to move out of the Ory Network and into self-managed, we’ll try to find a way to make it possible if no self-service solution exists yet
