very frustrating. user onboarding will  result in normal user hitting "continue" button that will take them to this ory session/profile/welcome page and not back to our services

There was a bug in the logic that set the return to url. This should be fixed in the coming hours. With the bug fix, you should be able to use the “Post-Verification Return URL”.

ok, there will still be the problem of you auto sending the first verifiction. i cannot undo that. i can only send a second vetification email that has our return_to

if the user happens to click your auto sent email, the return to will be bad

is there any way to keep verification process enabled in the service, but skip the auto email send on signup?

that would solve my issue really, im happy to detect email not verified and direct user to vetify it with my return_to link
