Hey! Joining here to learn more about which Ory solution I need.

You have come to the right place! Check out the projects document for an overview: https://www.ory.sh/docs/ecosystem/projects Can you tell us some more about the use case?

After digging around a bit I’m not sure there is a perfect Ory solution so I’d be keen to hear otherwise. I’m looking to allow each tenant in our database to connect to their own LDAP, so that users groups are managed there and authenticated there. It looks like Kratos would be a good fit here but LDAP isn’t supported.
This (for anyone else that comes across it) seems to be the relevant Github issue that identifies this gap: https://github.com/ory/kratos/issues/274

https://github.com/i-core/werther is a community contributed package for LDAP in Hydra, but you are correct it is currently not part of Ory Kratos (which would be the correct project for it). The thread you posted has some excellent comments on it by the way: https://github.com/ory/kratos/issues/274#issuecomment-812932223

Yes I saw! A really excellent commentary

Hey @magnificent-energy-493 I want to come back to this. Do you know where I could find out the limitations of the werther approach?
m
Hey, I have never used it so hard to say. I can do a bit of research if I can find some users and put you in contact.

That’d be ace. I’m still looking at Hydra and Kratos and LDAP is really the killer here
It’d be good to understand how it works in practise!
I’m also exploring the idea of glue code to Kratos specifically for LDAP
