Is there any interest in moving away from Slack to Discord? Discord seems more feature rich as compared to slack

Both have their up and downsides IMO. Both are pretty insecure also 😕. Personally I thought about offering a separate IRC channel, we could also bridge it with Slack, but that was more of a pet project of mine than a serious plan 🤔
