We plan to create a backup process for ory identities. We would need to create an identity with `id`.
I know that it’s not available for now, but do you have it on roadmap or it is not planned for now?

You mean choosing the `id` in Ory?
That is not planned atm, it think mostly due to complexity/performance.
You should however be able to use <https://www.ory.sh/docs/kratos/manage-identities/managing-users-identities-metadata|metadata> for this, that is what it is intended for.

When it comes to backup process, metadata is not the way to go.

We have relations connected with the identity id and if we would like to recreate some identity, then we need to also recreate the relations which is not the optimal way.

Nevertheless using metadata is out of sense in many cases, because there is no option for filtering by that field.
