It doesn’t really make sense to use it. If you self-host, the system is exposed on your domain anyways. Also, we will add some proprietary code to make the Proxy work with complex flows like social sign in and Ory Cloud, which don’t make sense can not to be replicated in self-hosted. If you need ory proxy-esque functionality, it’s a better idea to use a proxy like Nginx or Ory Oathkeeper 🙂
