You know you’ve send a push notification to almost 6K people right?

E-mail is required, so there's no way to submit it without providing an address, even though the question implies it's not required.

Completed, but I am not sure it was sent since it asked for a meeting after (which I didnt really want) without letting me know if it was submitted

Yeah... not filling out that survey. I'll just say that Slack is not the typical open source community tool and I'd appreciate more engagement from Ory in the community. @magnificent-energy-493 seems to be the only Ory employee answering questions in here and so other open source devs are left on their own.

So.... I don't need support.... I need a community.
Lots of people trying to implement their own custom UI and struggling with the SDKs. Frankly, at this point they're out of date. Especially the node one. NextJS just doesn't support Axios HTTP requests anymore (Page Router -> App Router changes everything) and I had to rebuild the entire SDK to use fetch() instead. I'd love to contribute, but there's no repo for it. All in all... more open source community support.

You guys need help? Hiring?

Same here, I had similar experience using the self hosted ory stack. I'd wish to see more responses on reported GitHub issues. The Kratos issue tracker e.g. is a red flag to me. Having broken SDKs like mentioned before over such long time is already bad but not reacting to issues that report this and other bugs hurt the open source comminity in my opinion.
It's completely fine that ory tries to expand their sources of income. But looking back on the survey sheet I really question myself if it is really meant to get feedback or if it is to make users sign up as customers.

@magnificent-energy-493 do you get responses, even if I don't select a meeting time, etc.?

Missed the feedback here 😅 Yes @red-machine-69654 I fixed the form, the email should not have been required sorry... @sparse-salesmen-34716 thanks for the feedback. FWIW we are working on an example for Next.js that will solve the issues with the current example. If you want to contribute to the SDKs please check out https://github.com/ory/sdk - or is there a reason you cant contribute there? I definitely can use some help 😉 but its not feasible that the community is built only by Ory employees. Happy to chat with you in DMs if you have ideas how we can make it a more welcoming community. @chilly-manchester-2513 The goal of the survey is to find out who of our users in production would be open for paid support options for self-hosted Ory and what form that support would ultimately take. And I believe it would be in mutual interest of many companies that run Ory in production to get some kind of support contract. I am planning another survey in summer for general feedback from the community.

@magnificent-energy-493 I first attempted
node -i @ory/hydra-client
I'm assuming thats this repo actually: https://github.com/ory/hydra-client-js I'm not familiar with how you generated that node package, but there's nothing documenting it from what I can find. That being said, the breaking dependency was AXIOS http requests which are no longer supported so I doubt changing something as far upstream as ory/sdk is ideal, but who knows. Here's my idea for the community. Make it easier to find. Slack isn't terrible, a bit jarring to open source devs who spend most of their time on Discord/IRC/Matrix, but besides that it just needs to be elevated where open source devs are looking for it. That would bring more people and help you out as well.
Until I found slack.... everytime I ran into an issue I searched again for another solution.
aka "Do I have to use Ory?"
"Is there a solution that comes close, but has a community?"
Still looking for one... lol
