Hi all, we're running Hydra v1. As the migration to v2 is quite a big effort for us, we are wondering how long we can wait with it. Does Hydra v1 still receive security patches? And if yes, until when? I.e. is there some kind of long term support? I couldn't find any documentation to a support policy. If there's one, I would be very glad if you could point me to it. And if there isn't, I would totally understand. Maintaining Open Source Software is hard. Thank you very much!

Hey Sebastian, unfortunately version 1.0 is no longer being maintained, as we no longer have customers on that version that require it. There’s a couple of people in the open source who mere able to migrate to hydra 2.0 at scale. How big is your DB?

Thanks for the reply! I see. That makes things clear. I guess we have to expedite this migration. DB is one thing, but we also have built some tooling around Hydra which we also need to migrate. And we want to have as little downtime as possible (ideally would be 0).

It may make sense to explore moving to the managed solution if you plan to migrate to Hydra 2.0 anyways. We take care of all upgrades there and have a zero downtime migration in place
We can also help you with the move ofc
